There’s a saying that the best lens is the one you have. But on this particular day, I really, really wished I had a different lens. A stronger one. A better one.
We went for a whale watching trip off Gold Coast. It was unreal to see this 12-16 meters length southern humpback whale, playing around our quiet catamaran. I was fortunate to catch it breaching, throwing about two-thirds of its body out of the water and splashing down on its back.
