An old tricycle, which at that time only owned by the upper class

A couple of days ago, armed with my camera, I made an impromptu visit to the National Museum. As unplanned as it was, I was still so disappointed that upon arrival, the guards told me that the main building is closed. What the *beep*? A museum can’t be closed unannounced, can it?

Well, they technically were not closed, as the adjacent new wing was open, into which the visitors were directed. However, I was utterly disappointed with the collections they placed there. Knowing how extensive the contents of the ‘real’ museum next door is, this makeshift displays of collection is a complete downgrade. At least they can do a proper ‘contingency plan’ if they really have to temporarily shut the main museum.

I felt sorry for the foreign visitors that day. I hope they won’t go home thinking that this piece of joke is our real national museum. How sad!
