On 5th of January, to kick start the new year of 2015, we decided on a rather ambitious journey of climbing the 4095m height Mount Kinabalu in Sabah, East Malaysia.

On the first day, accompanied by an accredited guide, which is part of this national park regulations, we started our climb at 8.45am. We needed to sign at Mesilau Gate, which is the starting point of the climb.

Our 9 and 10 year-old sons were super excited about this adventure, they didn’t complain of being tired, etc. Unless, of course, when they were hungry :-). Following their pace, we climbed slowly while enjoying the nature and had few break whenever the kids needed to.

So here are some pictures of our first day climb.

All are shot with GoPro Hero 4 Silver and iPhone 4S
