One of the ‘prizes’ he received from Swim for Habitat for Humanity was this dragon tattoo, the logo of his swimming team, Jakarta Aqua Dragons.

She turned 70 on 18th of February. The woman who gave birth and raised me and her other 3 kids. This weekend we throw a big party for her, an occasion for her to catch up with her friends, from school days up to now. A day for the whole big family to gather and share the joy.
Hundreds of pictures were taken, but not by me. This shot is mine, which I took during her make up session (which was done by my sister). Not the best one, but it shows how happy she is, even before the party starts, thus I love it 🙂
Happy birthday, Mom 🙂

It’s his last single-digit-birthday. I believe it is experienced by all moms, the mixed feelings of happiness to see your child grows healthily and the feeling of wanting to have your child as your little baby forever.
Happy birthday lil’ wise man!

Imagine if you check-in to a 5 star hotel n are told to wait as your room is still not ready. I am pretty sure that you won’t be happy.
But if the same thing happen in hospital, why most people are just more patient, less complaining, letting it go, or to be precise, helpless.
I am bringing it up today, as my younger brother had an accident in the morning. Getting a room took quite some time. Then the operation theatre which was scheduled for 9pm dragged for 1 and a half hour as the previous patient in the designated theatre took longer than expected. It took them 1 and a half hour to decide that they need to change to another operation theatre! But what can you do? Nothing, right?!
Then the surgery itself was only 30-45 minutes.
Being an ex hotelier, I wonder if the reception staff do the same to guests. Hmmm. And we are talking about the same bracket of room rate here :-).
