We arrived around noon at Tanjung Pandan, Belitung Island, last Tuesday, welcomed by heavy rain. After the rain subsided, we walked across the hotel to Tanjung Pendam beach. Being a public holiday, the beach was relatively packed that day. It’s obvious that this is one of favorite hang out places for the locals.
Among the available entertainments, these mini rickshaws / tricycles caught my attention. Aren’t they cute? Like a ride in Disneyland, the kids basically queue to get their turn riding these.
That particular boy on the photo above seemed to try really hard to get the attention of the 2 girls. He kept driving close to them, even bumped them on numerous time from behind. They were definitely having so much fun.

These are some pictures I took around christmas time last year. We visited an area which is supported by the company my husband is working for, through their social responsibility program. We arrived in an area with big containers which are used as classrooms, social activities and health clinic during the day. These people live in a village nearby, which is practically a dumpsite. It was such an eye opener, particularly for my sons.
The kids here were so eager looking at my camera, mostly are posing and right away wanted to check the result on the display. They are very happy on that particular day, receiving food, drinks and of course, christmas gifts.
Today I posted a few group pictures. And tomorrow it will be some individual kids.
The reason why I posted some old pictures is, I noticed a lot of spots on my camera, which are so obvious particularly during night shot. I tried to clean it but not so successful, thus I sent it for general check up and cleaning. It will be a few days until I receive it back, (hopefully) sparkling clean.
