During the relay event at my kids’ school yesterday, the swim team members were having a ball, literally and figuratively speaking. After the relay of 4 different styles, the team, who were divided into 8 lanes (about 20 kids each group) did some fun relays using various objects, like beach ball, noodle floaters and swimming rings, involving a lot of pulling and pushing, apart from, of course, swimming.
Concentrating more into team building activities, the kids enjoyed the fun activity tremendously.

Taken at Seaworld, Gold Coast, when this athlete / entertainer was having (what I assumed) a practice ride (or trial?) in between shows. I was standing at a wrong spot, but had I moved to the other side which MIGHT be better, I would have missed the moment. So please excuse the busy non-isolated background.

This morning, the triathletes have an opportunity for a swim practice right at the venue. This event is done under full supervisions of water safety and medical team.
Wetsuits are highly recommended, as there’s big possibility of ‘interaction’ with salt water crocodiles, as well as jellyfish (highly possible) and some sharks (hopefully not).

Last Sunday I organised my son’s snorkelling birthday party. While the “big” boys and girls were busy snorkelling, kayak and pedal boat racing, the little guests were contented playing by themselves on this beautiful white sandy beach.

It was such a beautiful day at the beach. Husband was sleeping (therefore I can borrow his sunglasses as ‘prop’). Kids were busy. I was trying to read my notes when this lady came and occupied the lounger next to us. And you know that situation when you don’t know the person and s/he just irritates you so much? Well, it was like that. This stranger just irritates the crap out of me.
So when she finally left (luckily it didn’t take that long, as the beach was apparently too hot for her), this snapshot was a gift to myself. Beautiful, peaceful day on the beach resumed :-).

I learnt that it’s not that easy to take good pictures during off road triathlon. The course / track is so spread out, without any repeated loops, making it more difficult to get a ‘perfect’ spot. Here are just some pictures from the swim leg, which luckily (for me) is split into 2x750m with a short run in between.

inStill some pictures from the Sugbu Triathlon last weekend, but this time is from the kiddie series, which was held a day before. Unfortunately the weather was unfriendly on that particular afternoon, raining and windy and the sea was very choppy. Due to safety reason, the organiser cancelled the open water swimming leg and made it into a duathlon instead (run – bike – run).
As what I mentioned in the earlier post, no matter what level or category they are, you can see their seriousness, concentration and determination in their face while pushing themselves to their new limit.
