When I was small, a birthday party was NOT a birthday party without the presence of these tiny heaven-like gem drops. Known locally as ‘kue kancing’, these colorful sweet merinque just melt in your mouth.
My siblings and I used to separate the biscuit bottoms from the colorful merinque tops. Eating the biscuit first, we were saving the best for last. Of course we really have to watch out, as once you are off guard, the precious sugar drops can transfered to somebody else’s mouth :-).
