After the sunrise, everything seems easier for us. When the sun shines brightly, accompanied by gorgeous blue sky and warmer temperature, walking down was definitely easier than our journey of climbing up.
This granite surface seems beautiful in the picture (well, it IS beautiful), but when one has to climb it in the cold, in total darkness, with strong wind blowing from all directions, it WAS indeed tough.

This frangipani tree stands in the corner, just next to my father’s cemetery. It provides a nice shade for us while sitting around there.
When we visited the cemetery a couple of weeks ago on his birthday, the sun shining through between its leaves caught my attention. It just feels so serene in the midst of the morning heat.

Living in big busy city like Jakarta, running outside is nearly impossible. Therefore I treasure every opportunity to just be able to run outside.
Our ‘run’ this morning with my 10 year old turned to be a run-jog-nature walk event, where we stopped here and there to examine and admire flowers, spiderwebs, pine cones and the list goes on.
Here’s one of those.
