As we drove through the city of Berlin looking for our hotel, I caught a glimpse of the cutest couple on the road and quickly grabbed my camera. Taking the shot from the moving car, I unfortunately could not get a proper frame of the dog. But I still love this shot 🙂

She turned 70 on 18th of February. The woman who gave birth and raised me and her other 3 kids. This weekend we throw a big party for her, an occasion for her to catch up with her friends, from school days up to now. A day for the whole big family to gather and share the joy.
Hundreds of pictures were taken, but not by me. This shot is mine, which I took during her make up session (which was done by my sister). Not the best one, but it shows how happy she is, even before the party starts, thus I love it 🙂
Happy birthday, Mom 🙂

After our long summer break in Europe, we still had a couple of weeks to kill before the kids’ school started. Browsing through various museums in Jakarta and beyond, I stumbled upon “Museum Benteng”, a museum about early Chinese settlement in Jakarta.
To go to the museum, one has to pass a traditional a traditional wet market. As taking pictures inside the museum is prohibited, I ended up having some nice shots of the surroundings.

I really love this picture which I took this morning during our sightseeing to the old part of Jakarta. Not only the combination of vibrant colors of the blue sky, the ships as the background and the bicycle as main object, but also how the timing is right.
If you understand Indonesia language, the ship’s name “Citra Bahagia” at the background, means the image of happiness, which in my opinion coincides with the couple passing by with an orange bike.

Sometimes we forget these “little people”. People whose task is less significant in any event, but without whom the event would not be as organized as it suppose to be.
I captured this lady during the triathlon a couple of week ago. I was sitting on the ground next to a drink station capturing the running leg when I noticed that, not only she was collecting the big bottles (which I believe is sellable), but she was also helping to pick up the sponges scattered on the ground.

It was such a beautiful day at the beach. Husband was sleeping (therefore I can borrow his sunglasses as ‘prop’). Kids were busy. I was trying to read my notes when this lady came and occupied the lounger next to us. And you know that situation when you don’t know the person and s/he just irritates you so much? Well, it was like that. This stranger just irritates the crap out of me.
So when she finally left (luckily it didn’t take that long, as the beach was apparently too hot for her), this snapshot was a gift to myself. Beautiful, peaceful day on the beach resumed :-).
